FACSAriaIII

The BD FACSAria III cell sorter is built on the solid foundation of patented technologies. The sorter has superior multicolour performance and its ease-of-use has opened the complex world of cell sorting to researchers of various fields and a wider variety of applications. The fluidics and optical systems are precisely integrated to maximise signal detection. A patented flow cell with gel-coupled cuvette and patented octagon and trigon detection system allow the system to achieve unrivaled sensitivity and resolution.

Lasers: blue (488 nm), red (633 nm) , yellow green (561 nm), violet (405 nm) and UV (355 nm)
Detectors: 2 light scatter detectors and 12 fluorescence detectors with optical filters optimised for the detection of most commonly used fluorochromes
Violet (405 nm) laser shares the same pinhole with UV (355 nm) laser, they cannot be used simultaneously
Maximum 12 colors can be detected simultaneously
Trigon/ octagon-shaped pathways of the collection optics to maximise signal detection
