Amendments to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance include:

Third Party to Give Consent to Change of Use of Personal Data (effective 1 October 2012)

• The Amendment Ordinance empowers a specified third party to give consent, on behalf of minors, persons incapable of managing their own affairs, or mentally incapacitated persons, to the change of use of their personal data when it is clearly in their interests to do so.
