The ZONE at BC401

The ZONE is a collaborative learning space featuring 7 MoCoWs (Mobile Computer on Wheels/Mobile Collaborative Workstations). The experimental prototype space has been relocated from Z105/106 to BC401. The purpose of a MoCoW is to enable classroom collaboration between the teacher and students as well as amongst student groups.

Functions of MoCoWs:

  • Allow groups of students to work together on class assignments and problem-based activities,
  • BYOD smartphones, tablets and laptops can connect directly to the local display for work group collaboration and presentation, and
  • Allow students to communicate and collaborate with people outside of the classroom.

Students are welcome to use the learning stations at the ZONE for informal learning activities. No reservation is required. For teachers who are interested to use the ZONE, please reserve the space via the Room Booking System.
