The Community of Practice on Student-Staff Partnership (SSP) is pleased to announce the launch of a new seed fund scheme to support SSP projects. The aim of this scheme is to foster a culture of collaboration between students and staff, and to enhance the quality of learning and teaching at PolyU.
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to all academic/teaching staff (full-time or part-time) who are interested in developing or enhancing Student-Staff partnership in their teaching or related activities. Applicants are required to form a project team consisting of at least one academic/teaching staff (as the project leader) and at least one student (as the project partner).
Some examples of SSP are as follows:
- Co-producing learning materials, resources, and activities to be used in class
- Co-annotating articles
- Co-recommending open educational resources (OERs)
- Co-creating assessment rubrics
- Co-developing subject syllabus and/or programme curriculum
How much funding is available?
The maximum amount of funding for each project is HK$10,000. The funding can be used to cover expenses such as:
- Remuneration of student partner(s) (e.g. hourly rate) for the co-creation of learning resources, co-creation of assessment rubrics, co-creation of subject curriculum and other SSP pedagogies
- Other reasonable costs related to the project

Applicants should submit a project proposal using the attached template (see Appendix A) by email to cop.ssp@polyu.edu.hk by 31 December 2023.
When will the results be announced?
The results will be announced by 15 January 2024.
