Short Description
Dr Shibin Cao received his PhD degree from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in 2021. Then, he joined the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Research Assistant Professor. His main research area is the stability and transition in shock/laminar boundary layer interaction. His current research interests include 1) flow instability in shock-induced separated flows, 2) laminar-turbulent transition in high-speed flows and 3) direct numerical simulation of supersonic and hypersonic flows.
