On 30 Jan, Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology hosted a visit from Huafu Experimental High School Life Planning Education Center. The event began with a programme talk about the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Scheme in Biotechnology and Chemical Technology, followed by a Q&A session delivered by our Assistant Professor, Dr. Lo Tsz-woon, Benedict. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the programme and ask questions about the field of biotechnology and chemical technology.
The visit also included a tour of the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, led by our Scientific Officer, Dr. Fortune Chan. Participants had the chance to see the lab facilities and learn about the research being conducted in the field.
The visit provided valuable insights into the study and application of biotechnology and chemical technology for the visiting students.
