Dr Edith Mok Kwan Ngan-hing is a veteran ICT professional who overcame a debilitating stroke and went on to help others through making Hong Kong more accessible for people with disabilities. One of the Top 100 Women in Computing selected by McGraw Hill in the United States, Dr Mok suffered from a severe stroke but preserved through the gruelling stages of rehabilitation. Since then, she has devoted herself to helping people who were physically impaired or chronically ill, as well as the elderly. She has overseen the provision of rehabilitation services for more than 1.2 million people, and has chaired the e2Care Project that encourages self-learning and health management. Over the years, Dr Mok has spared no expense in tackling rehabilitation related issues with different government bureaus and departments.
