Dr Quanxiang XIAN

Research Assistant Professor

Explores non-invasive ultrasound neuromodulation techniques for the treatment of brain disorders

Biography

Dr Quanxiang Xian is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2021. From 2021 to 2024, she served as a postdoctoral fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr Xian is dedicated to conducting a comprehensive study of ultrasound neuromodulation mechanisms and advancing the possibilities for clinical applications of ultrasound stimulation.

Dr. Xian has served as the first author and co-first author of publications in prestigious journals such as PNAS, Advanced Science, and Cell Reports. Additionally, her work has received recognition at major international conferences, where it has been selected for oral presentations and has earned multiple Best Presentation awards, including at the 11th WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering 2024, the 1st Asia-Pacific Neuroscience Student Congress, the HKSAN 2nd Annual Conference 2021, and the 2nd FUN Symposium 2021.
