Scholarships
Taught Postgraduate Programme
The following 2 categories of Entry Scholarship are offered to applicants of BRE MSc programmes who have excellent academic backgrounds:
1. Aim
To attract applicants with excellent academic backgrounds to apply to the MSc Programmes offered by the Department of Building and Real Estate (BRE).
2. Categories of Scholarship
- BRE Entry Scholarship for MSc Programmes (tier-one): Tuition fee waiver for 1 year plus subsistence allowance* of $50,000 (2 to 3 awards per programme)
- BRE Entry Scholarship for MSc Programmes (tier-two): $25,000 per awardee (one-off) (4 to 5 awards per programme)
3. Selection Criteria
- BRE Entry Scholarship for MSc Programmes (tier-one)

High-calibre applicants graduated with outstanding academic performance at bachelor's degree level (e.g. First Class Honours or equivalent from renowned universities).

- BRE Entry Scholarship for MSc Programmes (tier-two)
|
High-calibre applicants graduated with outstanding academic performance at bachelor's degree level.

*Only applicable to full-time students who do not undertake any full-time employment.
No application is required. Nomination of qualified candidate(s) for the Entry Scholarship will be made by Programme Leaders. Awardees will be informed of the results individually.
Remarks: PolyU reserves the right to change or withdraw the Entry Scholarship at any time. In case of any dispute/disagreement, PolyU's decision is final.

In recognition of academic excellence, our Department is delighted to offer generous entry scholarships to outstanding applicants for our BSc (Hons) Scheme in Building and Real Estate (JS3100) for the 2024/25 cohort. This aims to reward your success in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE).
