Dr Andy Wong,our Associate Professor,was invited to be the Guest-of-Honour at Hong Kong Youth Summit 2015 of Hong Kong Outstanding Students’ Association in mid March. In the campaign, Dr Wong shared his valuable insights into four hottest subjects ranging from :
1) quota and points system in the allocation of public rental housing,
2) the Government’s market-cooling attempts by additional stamp duties,
3) the regulation of subdivided flats to
4) the effectiveness of Hong Kong subsidized housing.
A round of thunderous applause could tell that Dr Wong’s comprehensive sharing and interactive discussion brought the participating secondary school students a fruitful and enjoyable afternoon.
Hong Kong Youth Summit 2015 (HKYS 2015) was held from 1March to 4 April 2015, providing a platform where foresighted teenagers convened to debate and confront issues in a topical area of social concern in Hong Kong to foster mutually agreed strategies to tackle their associated challenges.
