<<ACBC Workshop 2024 - A Resounding Success!>>

The Asian Coalition for Building Science and Construction Engineering (ACBC) Workshop 2024, held from 8 to 10 July in Hong Kong, was a resounding success! Since its launch in 2006, the ACBC Workshop has been dedicated to fostering close connections among participating universities and enriching the learning experiences of faculty members and students in diverse construction practices across Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong.

This year, BRE was privileged to host the event, welcoming around 70 students and faculty members from the University of Seoul, Kindai University, and BRE of PolyU. With the theme of 'Application of Innovative Technologies for MiC Projects’, the ACBC Workshop featured a range of insightful talks, engaging discussions, hands-on experiences with the Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) System, Motion Simulator, 3D Printing for Construction and Exoskeleton Suits, informative site visits, and a thrilling student competition.

The reconvening of the ACBC Workshop in Hong Kong after the pandemic was a testament to the resilience and dedication of our academic community. The collaborative spirit and innovative ideas shared during the event have set a new benchmark for future workshops.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, speakers, and companies for making the ACBC Workshop 2024 an unforgettable experience. We look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence and collaboration in the years to come!
