Anti-heat Stress Research Projects Showcased at Construction Innovation Expo 2019

Anti-heat Stress Research Projects Showcased at Construction Innovation Expo 2019 (17-20 Dec) Spearheaded by Prof. Albert Chan, the award-winning anti-heat stress research projects were showcased in the ‘Construction Innovation Expo 2019’ (CIExpo) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 17 to 20 Dec 2019. In particular, the project ‘Cooling Vest’ aroused plenty of interest and enquiries from visitors at CIExpo. In addition to enjoying a fruitful exchange of ideas with the industry throughout CIExpo, the research team continually places a priority on remaining responsive and exploring innovative approaches for the sustainable built environment.   CIExpo was a signature event of the Development Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Centre of Science and Technology Industrial Development, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China and the Construction Industry Council. It aimed to provide the excellent knowledge sharing and business matching platform with the vision to drive a new era in construction. The 4-day CIExpo attracted the participation of 228 local and overseas organisations from 15 countries, featuring the four key themes, namely Offsite Construction, Robotics and Automation, Digital Solutions, and Advanced Technologies and Materials, with a target for attracting 10,000 visitors.
