BRE Workshop on Digital Construction01

BRE Workshop on Digital Construction

Our colleagues and research students enjoyed an insightful workshop on ‘Digital Construction’ in the Ng Wing Hong Laboratory for Sustainable City on 19 August 2019, morning. Kicked-off by the welcome remarks and introduction from Prof. Ni Meng, Associate Head (Research) of BRE, this workshop embraced a comprehensive pack of talks and presentations.  One highlight was the inspiring keynote talk on ‘Three Decades of Robotics for Road Construction and Maintenance: Path to the Future’ by Prof. Miroslaw J. Skibniewski, BRE Distinguished Chair.  Shortly after that, Dr Jacky Chung was invited to share his perspectives on the topic of 3D Printing. This workshop concluded with a finale of the four presentations on ‘Digital Construction’ by our PhD students including Mr. Ali Abbas, Mr. Yue Gong, Mr. Xincong Yang, and Miss Yantao Yu.  It was encouraging to see their great hard work that was highly appreciated by the panel formed by Prof. Miroslaw J. Skibniewski, Prof. Heng Li, Dr. JoonOh Seo, Dr. Minkoo Kim, and Dr. Hung Lin Chi.  Particularly, Yantao’s outstanding performance was praised with the Best Presentation Award.  Congratulations to Yantao and her supervisor, Prof. Heng Li!   Thanks to everyone making this morning fruitful.  We look forward to more wonderful sharing in the near future.   Photo Gallery : BRE Workshop on Digital Construction
