Chun  Wo  Construction  &Engineering   Co   Ltd   has   been   the   pioneering   contracting   organization   involved   in delivering   government   construction   projects   adopting   NEC   since   August   2009.   The participants  consisted  of  the  members  of  HKICM  and HKIPM,  academic  staff  and  taught postgraduate students of BRE, together with some non-members.   Ir Ken Ko  General Manager (Construction) of Chun Wo Construction  & Engineering Co Ltd Mr David Tung Senior  Project  Manager of Chun Wo Construction & Engineering  Co  Ltd   The  seminar  provided  a  communication  platform  for  the  representatives  from  the  project team  of  the  main  contractor  to  share  their  valuable direct  hands-on  experiences  and effective project management skills under the NEC regime with the audience. The seminar firstly introduced the basic concepts and principles of NEC3 form of contract, followed by some  local  case  study  construction  projects  of  NEC.Furthermore,  the  guest  speakers discussed  the  joy  and  tears  of  using  NEC  from  a  main  contractor’s  perspective,  and  the future development trend of NEC in Hong Kong.   The  seminar  was  very  informative,  clearly  presented and  thought-provoking.  It  was  well received by over 80 registered attendees, and ended with some interesting questions from the audience and insightful answers from the guest speakers.   Photo Gallery : HKIPM
