Huge applause to Mr ZHAO Siyuan, our PhD student, who won the third prize in the 8th Hong Kong University Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition with his project “A Flexible High-Voltage Zn-Air Battery with All-in-One Acid-Alkaline Hydrogel Electrolyte. This recognition demonstrated our student’s creative mindset and knowledge of entrepreneurship.
The 8th Hong Kong University Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition is an annual highlight innovation and entrepreneurship event for higher education institutions. The winning innovation projects will continue to represent Hong Kong in the “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest which is recognised as the “China youth innovation and entrepreneurship Olympic”.
Siyuan received his Bachelor of Engineering in Armoured Vehicle Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology in 2020. Currently, he is a PhD student in BRE under the supervision of Prof. Meng Ni, Professor of BRE. His research interests focus on metal-air batteries and zinc-based batteries.
