Visit by KTH’s Department of Real Estate and Construction Management

We had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Department of Real Estate and Construction Management of KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) to BRE for a collaborative exchange on 18 Oct.

The meeting began with a warm welcome from Ir Dr. JoonOh SEO, Acting Associate Head of Research. As the meeting liaison, Dr. Ying FAN introduced our academic programmes and research disciplines, along with her research in urban economics. BRE faculty members, including Dr. Yi SUN, Sr Dr Ivy WONG, Ar. Dr Tristance KEE, and Dr Jeff SHEN, presented their research focuses in areas, such as age-friendly built environments, urban-rural planning, housing sustainability, and climate finance.

The KTH delegation enriched the discussions by presenting their cutting-edge research on housing market dynamics, urban amenities, advances in PropTech, and the future of cities. This exchange led to insightful conversations on global challenges and innovative solutions in these areas.

The day concluded with a tour of BRE’s advanced facilities, led by Dr. CHI Hung Lin, where the delegation experienced our Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) System.
