BRE PhD Student, Maxwell receiving Award at West Africa Built Environment Research Conference

Let’s give a big clap to Mr. Antwi-Afari Maxwell Fordjour, our PhD student who received the Gibrine Adam Promising Young Scholar Award at the West Africa Built Environment Research (WABER) Conference2017.

Started in 2009, the West Africa Built Environment Research (WABER) Conference offers researchers the opportunity for exchange of knowledge and interaction on current research and issues in the built environment area.In summer 2017, the 7thWABER Conference was held at the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana, featuring an array of interactive workshops and sessions on research related topics and issues of interest.

The Gibrine Adam Promising Young Scholar Award recognized Maxwell, a young researcher who demonstrated promise and potential to become a research leader.It was a great reward for Maxwell’s impressive presentation on the paper‘Effects of Quadriceps Muscle Fatigue on Balance Control and Fall Injuries following Repetitive Squat Lifting Task in Construction Workers’ at the Conference.
