Air-conditioning outside office hours

1.This Circular serves to inform all departments that the extension of air-conditioning service to academic staff accommodation and research laboratories, is provided until further notice.

2. The hours of air-conditioning service are as follows:-

Academic staff accommodation and research laboratories

8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays
8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays
Non-academic staff accommodation
8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturdays
There is no air-conditioning on Sundays and public holidays.

3. Notwithstanding the above, Head, Facilities Management will also consider and, if feasible, provide after-hours air-conditioning service on request with justification in special cases. Please duly complete the attached application form (FMO TS5) and return it either through e-mail or fax no. 2364 8514.
