Students from PolyU’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) won the first and second places in the 2010 Student Project Competition organized by the Hong Kong Society for Quality.

The annual contest offers university students an opportunity to conduct case studies on a sponsoring organization and make recommendations to address related issues. This year, eight teams of students representing four local universities participated in the competition to analyse the cases of Techworld Industries Ltd.

The champion went to ISE students Mak Man-wa, Ng Lai-lan, Ng Ka-yiu and Leung Ho-ting, while the first runner-up went to Yap Yih-shan, Dai Xin and Bai Miao.
