Two teams of students from the Faculty of Business (FB) scored the silver and bronze awards of the Hong Kong finals of the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards 2009-10. The Department of Management and Marketing team, with Ip King-him as leader, Lau Pui-shan and Sin Wai-han as members, won the silver award for their innovative business plan for promoting their product series named Bio-Cutlery. The bronze award went to the School of Accounting and Finance team, with Tang Wai-lam as leader, Cheung Yuk-han and Li Man-wai as members. They had developed a business plan for promoting Fun Gum, a new chewing gum which can minimize calories intake and is available in different textures and tastes.
