Bringing together the expertise of 23 disciplines across the University's faculties and schools, PolyU has recently established the Institute of Active Ageing (IAA) to help Hong Kong better equipped to meet the needs of its ageing population through research, training and practice. IAA will work closely with health care providers, the private and public sectors, the elders and their families.

To mark its inauguration, IAA earlier organized a symposium titled “Interdisciplinary Knowledge and Practice on Active Ageing” which has attracted some 200 participants. An inauguration dinner was also held and graced by the presence of Mr Matthew Cheung, Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the HKSAR Government. Details >>
