On 28 July, some 1,000 guests enjoyed the “PolyU-Realink Charity Gala Premiere 2010” of the movie “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” featuring Academy Award-winning Best Actor Nicolas Cage. The Title Sponsor of the event is Realink. Managing Director of Realink, alumnus Mr Yau Wah-yau, has recently been appointed Chairman of the University’s Fund-raising Committee. In Mr Yau’s view, fund-raising activities can be very interesting and entertaining. The net proceeds raised from this event will support the development of the University’s four-year undergraduate curriculum as well as the nurturing of talents for the multimedia industry through its Digital Media programme.
