In the London 2012 Olympic Games, PolyU graduate Angel Wong Hiu-ying successfully staged her debut gymnastic movement on the balance beam which was recognized by the International Gymnastic Federation to be named after her. Angel is not only the first local female gymnast to qualify for the Olympics, but also the first Hong Kong athlete to have a gymnastic movement named after her. Congratulations!

Two PolyU student-athletes also followed the Hong Kong, China Delegation to participate in the Games. They are the pride of PolyU! Let us wish them all the best and cheer them along the road to success!
