Highlights
PolyU and the Royal College of Art teamed up to establish the first-ever research facility that integrates AI into designing products and services – PolyU|RCA Artificial Intelligence Design Laboratory. Leading the world in a new design paradigm, this lab will contribute to the innovation and technology development in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
 
Ten PolyU-led projects secured $65 million from the Research Impact Fund (RIF) 2018/19. Half of them are health-related, displaying the University’s efforts in finding medical solutions to address societal needs.
 
Achievements
PolyU runners captured important awards at this year's Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon. The University's running team also got its tenth consecutive Championship of the "Most Supportive Group Award"!

Research
BCT-100, the anti-cancer drug developed by PolyU and an industry partner, has been granted approval for clinical trials by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency and is expected to be launched in 2022-23.

Connections
Under Secretary for Education and Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology recently paid a visit to PolyU and learnt about the University's newest developments in teaching, research, technological innovation and knowledge transfer.
