TechConnect 2023 Innovation Awards - Ammonia Powered Fuel Cell-based Electric Vehicle project
Congratulations! The project of Ammonia Powered Fuel Cell-based Electric Vehicle project conducted by our Department’s Prof. Eric Cheng Ka-Wai won the Global Innovation Awards at TechConnect 2023.
TechConnect is a massive international event that aims to facilitate the advancement and commercialization of innovative technologies across multiple industries. PolyU is the only higher education institution in Hong Kong to have snatched awards this year. In Prof. Cheng’s project, the ammonia-powered fuel cell-based electric vehicle is the world’s first electric vehicle to deliver higher efficiency and safer energy storage than traditional vehicles through achieving zero-carbon emission. It hopes to offer a more environmentally friendly to persistent transportation challenges.
