The creation of MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node was announced in November 2015, and its focus is on cultivating the innovation capabilities of students, increasing opportunities and accelerating the path from idea to impact. The Showcase Day June 2017 is a two-week programme for MIT Entrepreneurship and Maker Skills Integrator (MEMSI), which comprises learning in a dynamic classroom environment and factory visitors in Dongguan, Huizhou and Shenzhen.
Totally 26 highly promising students from MIT and from universities in Hong Kong have selected, of which PolyU EE has 1 undergraduate and 1 research postgraduate students joined this programme. This is a golden chance that our students could experience team building, problem solving, building something new with students from other disciplines, as well as assistance from MIT alumni mentors.
