The AISP group conducts cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence, machine intelligence, and signal processing. The missions of the team are:
• to carry out original research on artificial intelligence and signal processing and their applications;
• to act as a strong research base to foster international collaborations;
• to transfer academic research results into practical uses to benefit the industrial, commercial, and service sectors.
The group applies AI and signal processing to
• Computer vision, 3D scene analysis, and 3D object recognition (Prof. Kenneth Lam, Prof. L.P. Chau, Dr. Luca Rossi, and Dr. Yi Wang)
• Spoken language processing, voice biometrics, and speech for healthcare (Dr. K.A. Lee and Prof. M.W. Mak, Dr. W.W. Lin)
• Bioinformatics (Dr. Frank Leung, Dr. Bonnie Law, and Prof. M.W. Mak)
• Audio and speech processing (Dr. Daniel Lun)
• Image and video processing (Dr. Daniel Lun, Dr. Y.L. Chan, and Dr. Chris Chan)
• Computational intelligence, intelligent control, robotics (Dr Frank Leung)
• Mobile service authentication and adversarial learning (Prof. Haibo Hu)
