Studying Electrical Engineering at PolyU equipped me with multidimensional electricity-related knowledge, which gave me the ability to think critically and learn detail-oriented organisational skills to tackle problems innovatively. Practical training in the Industrial Centre contributes greatly to students’ professional readiness and future career development, and it allowed me to hone my interpersonal skills and inspired me with the idea of lifelong learning.
Apart from the academic learning experience, it was a privilege to be a Student Ambassador representing PolyU to promote my school and Electrical Engineering along with schoolmates from different faculties at school events and activities, which enhanced my confidence and other soft skills.
Going for an exchange may not be on your bucket list, but in my four-year university life, meeting friends from near and far was one of the best things I did at PolyU. Building friendships with others from different countries is one of my ultimate goals. I can be a hostess who welcomes and gets along with them, and we can grow, explore life, and experience ups and downs together.

I am an Electrical Engineering (EE) degree student about to graduate. Four years ago, I was looking for the right programme. At that time, I was attracted by the excellent and all-round career prospects of EE, with diversified theories and practical skills leading to abundant job opportunities, a large variety of career choices, and a satisfactory salary for fresh graduates.
I am thankful that I chose to study in EE. It equipped me with useful practical skills, such as basic programming and hardware development, and enabled me to conduct small projects to solve daily issues, which satisfied me very much. Now, I am working on a Chinese IME programme using what I have learned here to make our future much more convenient.
I had many memorable moments at PolyU. My favourite was the orientation camp, which the student society organised during the hot summer. Those heart-warming and enjoyable activities were the best welcome for me as a freshman. It enabled me to bond me with PolyU and was the beginning of my delightful school life.
