BRE – Departmental Health, Safety and Environmental Committee
Terms of reference
(a) to discuss and to adopt and if necessary to formulate health, safety and environmental procedures, practice and guidelines;
(b) to review health, safety and environmental arrangements within the department regularly;
(c) to identify substandard conditions and practices and to refer to appropriate units to propose remedies;
(d) to promote correct health, safety and environmental attitudes of staff and students;
(e) to discuss health, safety and environmental problems and preventive measures;
(f) to review and to comment on the inspection reports of the department; and
(g) to review accidents/dangerous occurrences, to receive investigation reports and make recommendations to prevent their recurrence within the department.
