The Commemorative Chairs are special gifts presented to donors to the Endowed Professorship Scheme by PolyU as a token of appreciation.
Presented to donor of Endowed Professorship, the set of two intertwined Commemorative Chairs is with one crafted from African Padauk wood and in PolyU’s corporate red representing the University, and the other crafted from Indonesian Dispyyosspp wood and in black representing the donor. The Chairs symbolise the close bond between PolyU and the donor, and their combined efforts in fostering academic and research excellence for the benefit of our society.
The Commemorative Chairs are designed by Mr Freeman Lau Siu-hong, a renowned home-grown designer and PolyU outstanding alumnus who has made tremendous contributions to the design sector over the years.
