This lecture explores the crucial role of change management in enabling effective digital transformation, focusing on how business intelligence (BI) tools can empower firms to make data-driven decisions, adapt to rapid market shifts, and enhance operational efficiency. We will examine strategies to foster organizational agility, manage resistance to change, and leverage BI insights to drive sustainable growth and innovation in an increasingly digital world.

Armando Papa (Ph.D.) is currently a Full Professor of management, innovation, and marketing at the Department of Economics and Statistics at the University of Salerno. He is a Fellow (F-EMAB) of the EuroMed Research Business Institute (EMRBI) and a research member of the GNOSIS - Mediterranean Institute for Management Science, School of Business at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Prior to this, he was an associate professor of marketing at the University of Teramo. He earned the Italian National qualification as a Full Professor in 2020. Earlier, he joined the University of Rome Universitas Mercatorum. He was formerly a research fellow at ICxT Innovation Center, University of Turin. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Naples Federico II and a Master in Finance (2011). Armando is skilled in Knowledge Management, Open Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship, Corporate Governance and Family Business. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Knowledge Economy (Springer) and Managing Editor of the Journal of Knowledge Management (Emerald) and International Studies in Management and Organization (Taylor & Francis) as well as engaged in various peer-review processes for several high-ranked and outstanding international management journals. Armando is also engaged as an editorial board member for the Journal of Intellectual Capital, British Food Journal, Management Research Review, and other international journals. He is listed as Innovation Manager at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and a member of the I.P.E. Business School of Naples.
