Connectivity for Mainland based students to access online teaching delivery platforms has been further enhanced with the new express secure VPN service access via the domain name “ctexpress.polyu.edu.hk”.
Students based in Mainland will benefit from higher bandwidth with more concurrent VPN sessions in reaching to PolyU online teaching delivery platforms.
To use the new express secure VPN service, students based in Mainland will need to create a new site on the student VPN client software. Related procedures are provided here.
As prevailing VPN sites will be retired from service in March, please make the switch to the express secure VPN site “ctexpress.polyu.edu.hk” as soon as possible.

Special Notes
Access to the LEARN@PolyU platform for learning material download under Course folder DOES NOT require VPN connection. Your access and traffic will automatically be routed through the China Telecom service.
Similarly, if you plan to access PolyU O365 for class Teams Site document download or attending synchronous online teaching session with Teams Meeting or Live Event, VPN connection is NOT required. |
