Effective from 22 December 2022, instructors conduct face-to-face class delivery in teaching venues and use Zoom VC Cloud platform for lecture recording can have an additional access management option for setting up the VC meeting.
If instructors prefer all enrolled students to attend face-to-face class in teaching venue and use Zoom VC session for class lecture recording purpose only, they can now select the new option ‘PolyU Staff Only’ as the only authenticated users. Students will not be able to join the online session if they are not attend class in-person but they can still access the recorded class after instructors posted the recording to LEARN@PolyU course.
If instructors deliver TPg class in hybrid mode or prefer in-class students to use their smart handsets or laptops to join VC meeting to perform online actions (e.g. raise questions via online Chat, provide response to polling questions or share their computer screen), instructors can continue to use the default option of ‘PolyU Staff and Students’ as the only authenticated users when schedule a Zoom VC meeting for class recording.
Instructors who assign students as teaching assistants are reminded to grant them the rights of “Alternative Hosts” on VC Meeting.
