Software Asset Management (SAM) is a continuous process to record, classify, review, and control of software installed on University’s computers. A Software Asset Management tool ‘PolyU Desktop Management System’ (PUDMS) is available to facilitate all Active Directory (AD) connected computers to record, review, and manage license status of installed software.

In addition, the website of PUDMS has been enhanced to facilitate the users and SAM managers to complete the cycle of SAM records update. The website is informative not only providing details on software classification, but also sharing good practices to prevent software license violation.
