Hyperledger Fabric is an open source enterprise-grade blockchain framework designed for business application development. To enrich students’ knowledge, a series of courses on ‘Hyperledger Fabric’ is now open for enrolment in July and August.
These courses provide conceptual understanding of application and use of Blockchain technology to transact assets and provide assurance on authenticity of information content among private network of community.
Students can gain hands-on experiences on Hyperledger Fabric integrated development environment for application in their project and research works. Familiar with blockchain technology will be a competitive advantage in future workplaces and further studies.
The first course ‘What is Hyperledger Fabric?’ lays the background of blockchain and the use of blockchain in enterprise applications. It illustrates the major concepts of Hyperledger Fabric with easy-to-understand business use cases including land registry deeds transfer and food supply chain traceability system.
There is no pre-requisite for the first course while students are preferred to complete the first course before attending the second course.
The second course ‘Build and Deploy a Blockchain Web App with Hyperledger Fabric & Hyperledger Composer’ demonstrates how to build a blockchain prototype application in minutes without requiring coding skills. This course provides students with hands-on experience with the Hyperledger Fabric integrated development environment, setting up the business network based on a real-life example.
All full-time students are welcomed to join these face-to-face courses. As only limited seats are available for each session, registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis. Two identical sessions will be conducted for each course and you are welcome to attend one of them. The sessions will be conducted at M407 of Student Computer Centre (SCC) at Li Ka Shing Tower, with the following schedule:
