The PolyU NetID (Network Identity) is the key to use University’s IT facilities and services. It is a unique personal identifier and is made up of a single username and password pair, named as NetID and NetPassword respectively. With the NetID, users can access the University’s online facilities including University Portal, eLearning Platform, Wi-Fi and other network facilities and services, etc. You can manage your NetID profile (e.g., change NetPassword) at the Identity Portal, IdPortal, via https://idportal.polyu.edu.hk.
At IdPortal, you may perform the following actions:
| New to PolyU | • Register for a new NetID |
| Existing Student/ Staff | • View your NetID profile • Change/ Reset your NetPassword • Update personal email |
| Department Administrator | • Manage guest/ functional NetID • Assign IT services for visitor/ affiliate NetIDs |
