To enhance students' learning and class revision experiences, we have extended the retention period for Zoom class recordings from one semester to a full academic year, effective from 2023/24 Semester 2. Furthermore, we urge both instructors and students to utilize the newly introduced Zoom features designed to enrich their recording revision experience.

The newly introduced Zoom trim and editable transcript features are powerful tools that empower instructors to easily remove any unnecessary parts of the recordings and modify the transcript before it is released to students. This feature enhances instructors' control over the content they share, ensuring that only the most pertinent and useful information is disseminated. How to edit the Audio Transcript
- For Students:
The new searchable transcript feature for Zoom class recordings enables students to revisit class recordings and utilize the searchable transcript to boost their efficiency during revision. It allows students to swiftly locate specific topics within the class recordings, thereby making the revision process more focused and effective. For additional information, please refer to the following link.
*Please note that this extension is specifically applicable to Zoom class recordings and requires additional resources from the new Zoom subscription, while the retention period for Class Collaborate remains unchanged, limited to one semester only.
