Biography

Dr. Ameer Hamza received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2015 and a Ph.D. degree in Computing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2021.
He is now a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is currently working on autonomous navigation of mobile robots with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). His research interests include nonlinear optimization, robotics, control theory, and machine learning.
