In collaboration with the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ), we conducted a paper development workshop (PDW) on February 22-23, 2024. Welcome remarks were delivered by Professor Qingyan Chen (Director of PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research and Chair Professor of Building Thermal Science), Professor Chinien Chung (Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business and Chair Professor of Strategic and Organization Management), and Professor Wu Liu (Head and Professor of the Department of Management and Marketing). Around 40 scholars from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Europe, and North America joined this PDW and presented their studies on entrepreneurship. This PDW was led by Sam Garg (SEJ Associate Editor), Peter G. Klein (SEJ Co-Editor) and Matthew Mount (SEJ Associate Editor), and they provided junior scholars with developmental feedback on their current research papers in entrepreneurship and innovation and to help them develop their manuscripts. The PDW was part of the International Symposium on Strategic Entrepreneurship, in which Professor Peter G. Klein delivered a keynote speech, entitled “The Judgment-Based Approach: Retrospect and Prospect”, based on his two-decade research collaborations with Professor Nicolai Foss and a few other scholars to develop the “judgment-based view” as a new approach to the study of entrepreneurship.
