Message from the President

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has developed over eight decades from a technical institution into one of Asia’s top universities.

Our promise of “Opening Minds • Shaping the Future” guides us in our vision of advancing and transferring knowledge, and of providing holistic education for the benefit of Hong Kong, the nation and the world. We are very pleased that this promise is recognised by different sectors of the community.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Foundation (PolyU Foundation) is extremely important in achieving the University’s broad goals. It is central to upholding the University’s role as a key player, not only in the higher education sector but in society as a whole.

I am confident that with the assistance of the PolyU Foundation, the University will continue to inspire the next generation to shape the future through its ever-expanding global network that includes academia, business and industry.
