About 40 members of the New Territories General Chamber of Commerce (NTGCC) visited PolyU on 29 September. The delegation, led by NTGCC Chairman, Dr Sam Wong Chun-sing, MH and Honorary President Mr Yuen Mo, GBS, JP, was warmly welcomed by Mr T. C. Chan, Council Chairman of PolyU, Professor Timothy W. Tong, President, Dr Miranda Lou, Vice President (Administration and Business) and Dr Kitty Yam, Associate Vice President (Institutional Advancement).
At the welcoming lunch, Dr Sam Wong, acknowledged the many contributions PolyU has been making to the development of the community over the years. He shared Mr Chan and Professor Tong’s views and endorsed PolyU’s initiatives on applied research and education, and in particular, the nurturing of all-round talents with strong sense of social responsibilities.
The delegation also paid visit to the House of Innovation, Jockey Club Innovation Tower and Industrial Centre, which enabled NTGCC members to understand more about PolyU’s latest education and research achievements.
