PolyU organized the “University-Community Partnerships for Sustainable Social Development” Sharing Session on 30 March 2017 to further strengthen university-community collaboration.
Mr Chan Tze-ching, Chairman of Council of PolyU and Professor Timothy Tong, President of PolyU delivered opening remarks. The Honourable Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, the Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government, Ms Cecilia Ho, the President of Lee Hysan foundation and Prof. Angelina Yuen, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) of PolyU were invited to share their insightful views. Mr Matthew Cheung pointed out that the government will continue to support the University’s research, especially in the areas of mechanical engineering, smart city and aging problem in order to meet the current needs of the society and answer the challenges in the future.
