Jointly organized by the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Material Resource Centre of School of Design, Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation and the Good Seed Programme, Beyond Sustainable Entrepreneurship was featured on campus where renowned world-class entrepreneurs shared their experiences on utilizing creative thinking to solve business problems. Clive Sit, Founder of Made in Sample, along with Hayley Charlotte and Enoch Hui, Directors of Japanese upcycling brand, poRiff, were present to meet the attendees and talked about why they focussed on upcycling designs and how they sustained their business. In their views, upcycling was not only the core of their businesses but also a culture which should be further promoted. They opined that people would learn to appreciate things in the world and discover the values of all materials through the act of upcycling.
