PolyU’s BYO Friday to echo the Joint University Campaign UNIfy: BYO

To further promote the bring-your-own (BYO) culture on campus, PolyU stages the attractive BYO Friday buy-one-get-one-free on 8 March and 15 March 2019 between 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.! PolyU students and staff can enjoy a complimentary beverage when they purchase any 8oz or 12oz handcrafted beverage at selected cafes when they bring their own reusable cups to carry the beverages.

Designated Cafes on campus that offer this buy-one-get-one-free discount are:

• LibCafe – Podium Level, Pao Yue-kong Library
• H Café – Podium Level, Block FGHJ Courtyard
• V Café – Podium Level, Jockey Club Innovation Tower
• Z Café – 2/F, Block Z

Joint University Campaign - UNIfy: BYO (八大BYO)

This event also represents PolyU’s support to echo the Joint University Campaign UNIfy: BYO (八大BYO) in 2019. Following the success of the campaign last year UNIfy: Skip the Straw (八大走飲管), eight local universities decided to continue with the collective campaign to once again actualize the beauty and power of synergy. To celebrate this year’s UNIfy: BYO, these universities are holding a BYO week during the week of 11 – 17 March and their selected catering outlets on campuses will offer special discounts or incentives to promote BYO actions. They join hands to engage campus community members to take BYO actions to reduce disposable waste by bringing their own reusable (water bottles, cups, food containers, cutlery, bags etc.) as to meet their needs and own preference.
