Summary

Climate change is one of the most urgent global challenges of our time, posing unprecedented threats to the well-being of people, communities, and businesses. Decisions made today by Governments, businesses and communities, will have long-term consequences for our planet. Hong Kong, as a signatory of the Paris Agreement on climate change, is committed to keeping the global temperature rise below 2°C. As a key player in the university sector, PolyU has a key role to play in Hong Kong to promote and work towards a low-carbon city.

In this seminar, our invited speakers will give you an insight on both Hong Kong Government and businesses’ decarbonisation efforts, share with you the best practices observed in Phase 3 of GPA-GO programme and introduce ways to help Green Officers and colleagues to decarbonise your workplace.
