As a research-intensive university, PolyU considers that research and technologies can bring along multi-disciplinary solutions to tackle climate change. We take our campus as a testbed to apply these new technologies and research solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate impacts as well as improving the quality of living of the University and the wider community.
An applied research funding scheme was established to support carbon neutrality research projects and to apply research outcome on campus through close collaboration with the Campus Facilities and Sustainability Office (CFSO) and Campus Development Office (CDO) to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral institution.
