Chinese Money Plant (Pilea peperomioides), also known as coin plant and pancake plant, is an herbaceous perennial native to Yunnan province in the southwest of China. Characterized by flat leaves that are round, bright green and leathery, it holds a stem that is upright and can grow up to 40cm and will start to twist when it is mature. It enjoys bright conditions and some direct sunlight. A moist but well-drained media is essential. It’s good to decorate your indoor and office environment with this modern looking houseplant. Remember do not over water them, and always allow the top inch of soil to get dry between watering. This plant can be easily propagated by taking cuttings of the offsets and runners.
