Sustainable Campus
PolyU makes every effort to incorporate sustainable approaches into our operations, overall development and programme curricula, with an aim to pursue environmental excellence and foster environmental awareness among future generations. Adhering to principles of the Campus Sustainability Policies, PolyU has formulated objectives and targets which align with the University’s strategic planning. During the reporting year, PolyU engaged the University community in various initiatives to promote their environmental awareness, aiming not only to create a green culture on campus but also to make positive impacts in society. On top of that, by dint of continued efforts in communicating with stakeholders and establishing a sustainable campus through various policies and measures, progress has been made towards achieving the campus sustainability targets. PolyU strictly abides by all applicable environmental laws and regulations. There were no significant cases of fines, non-monetary sanctions or non-compliance with environmental laws and regulations in 2018/19.
