Visit to T. Park

 

T. Park is a unique facility that combines advanced technologies such as sludge incineration, power generation, desalination and wastewater treatment in a self-sufficient complex with a maximum sludge treatment capacity of 2,000 tons per day.

The "T" of T.Park stands for  "transformation" and encompasses the concepts of "turning waste into energy" and "driving attitude and behavior changes for greener lifestyles"

13 alumni had joined the technical visit to T．Park on Feb 18, 2023. A tour was conducted to explain the reason why the T．Park was established and the operation of the T．Park.

T．Park was established was established for three purposes:

1 A sludge treatment facility
  Every day about 1200 tons of sludge has been produced, this sludge has created bad smell to the surrounding and has occupied a great area of land. The burning of sludge can reduce the size to 10% by weight (i.e. 120 tons) and the bad smell be can eliminated which is good to the environment.
2 An environment education complex
  T．Hall T．Gallery and T．Theatre are used for education purpose.
3 A recreational centre
  T．Garden, T．Root, T．Spa, T．Sky, T．Café and T．Habitat are used for recreation and leisure purpose.

 

The facility is designed to be self contained: drinking water, flush water, irrigation water and electrical are self generated. 

After the guided tour, we have reserved some time for self financed refreshment, self tour and photography, we ended the visit and depart at 3:00pm.
