Technical Visit to Ricoh Live Showcase in Digital Workplace

On 11 March 2024, 10 students and alumni had visited Ricoh Hong Kong Office at Kowloon Bay. We did registration at the office entrance. After the registration all the participants’ information would be sent to the event organizer. If that was done online, participants could enter the office with the QR code that could reduce the manpower of receptionist.

The workplace was designed with relaxed environment. Tables were equipped with power source so that you could connect your notebooks and electronic device directly.

Different type of chairs and tables were provided for different need. Some chairs were equipped with message back.

The hall could be used for video conference, and seminars and could accommodate over 200 persons.

After the introduction, we went into a meeting room, a digital whiteboard was used to replace traditional whiteboard. You could copy the content of the digital whiteboard directly with QR code. In case security measures were required, you could add in password.

Ricoh had 3 slogan:

Some areas were equipment with silence booth so that you could communicate with others in a quiet environment.

They had some rewards with points that could be used to buy snacks or drinks in rending machines. The copy machine with software could be used to check the differences between two documents.

We took group photo together at the end of the visit. The event ended at 05:15pm with over 45 minutes overrun. Everyone had enjoyed the event and had asked a lot of questions during the visit.
